NAIMA is a name with timeless resonance: meaning “gentleness” and “contentment” in Arabic, it is also the title of a great jazz standard by John Coltrane. The name carries the essence of the values we hold closest to our hearts. Our story began in Melbourne, Australia, where a spark of passion, the weight of pressure, and an abiding love for our craft came together to give life to this brand.

We are a family business, and jewellery runs in our blood. But it is sustainability that truly inspires us. Traveling the world has shown us the breathtaking beauty of nature and reminded us how precious our planet is. Its resources do more than sustain life—they nourish the soul. Now, with children of our own, our sense of responsibility has only grown. We strive to leave behind a world rich in beauty and abundance—for our children, their children, and generations to come. With over 20 years in the jewelry industry, we’ve seen the craft from every angle. And through all that experience, one question became clear: How can we create jewelry that’s beautiful and meaningful, while doing right by people and the planet?

That question led to NAIMA. Every piece we make is designed to be timeless, thoughtfully crafted, and consciously produced—minimising environmental impact while creating a positive effect for the communities involved.

Certified Crafting: Every piece of NAIMA jewellery is made in Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) certified facilities. This ensures fair wages, safe working conditions, and respect for every person involved.

Sustainable Metals: We use recycled metals—yes, it’s a little extra work (they need to be purified first), but it’s worth it. We’re happy to take that extra step because we’re committed to reducing our environmental footprint.

Ethical Stones: Our stones are human-made—no mining, no digging. Our pearls come from ethical, sustainable farms. We work exclusively with suppliers who are leaders in the ethical sources, because it matters.

Minimal Packaging: We keep it simple—because most packaging ends up in landfills. All of our packaging is recyclable, helping us do our part to reduce waste and support a sustainable future.

With over two decades in the industry, we’ve learned that true beauty isn’t just skin deep. It’s about creating jewellery that stands the test of time—both in quality and design. Comfort, practicality, and lasting beauty are always top of mind when we design each piece.
